World's Most Visited Countries In 2012

This post is basically for those who really love travelling. Every year, United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) will release an annual report about the progression of tourism sector globally. The total number of international tourists visited each member(country) of UN in the previous year is also included in the report.

So this year in 2013, UNWTO released the data for 2012. From the data, we managed to discover the ten most visited countries in the world. Every year, I've never missed to post this particular ranking. I don't know why. Maybe because I love travelling and of course I want to promote my homeland.

I don't want to write too much. So, below are the 10 most visited countries in the world...
[in the bracket is the total of international tourists arrival]

1) France [83.0 million]

Mahallah In CFS IIUM PJ

Finally! I managed to update my blog... Okay, this time I'm going to share a video which I made by myself with help from the representative of each mahallah... The video is an assignment for one of the subjects that I took this semester which is Basic Application of ICT...

What is mahallah? Actually mahallah is an arabic word which means residential area/neighbourhood and in my case it means residential college... Since I'm part of Mahallah Representative Committee in CFS IIUM PJ, so I decided to do the video about mahallah in PJ Campus..

There are six mahallah in CFS IIUM Petaling Jaya... Three mahallah are for brothers while the other three are for sisters... Mahallah Umar Al-Khattab, Fatimah Az-Zahra, and Abu Bakar are mahallah for brothers... Mahallah for sisters are Mahallah Aisyah, Mahallah Khadijah, and Mahallah Zainab Jahsy...

So, I hope you guys enjoy the video...!

Update [17/5/15]
-Mahallah Khadijah in the video is currently Mahallah Abu Bakar and vice versa.
-Mahallah Fatimah Az-Zahra is now mahallah for sister.

The ranking was released by SKYTRAX during the 2013 World Airline Awards at the Paris Air Show... I've never missed to post this particular ranking in the previous years, so I have to spend a little of my time to publish this post... Alright, below are the 20 World's Best Airlines based on the passengers' vote...

It's Time For Me To Pursue My Studies

Under Malaysia's education system, there are three important examinations that all of the local students must go through. The examinations are Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah(UPSR), Penilaian Menengah Rendah(PMR), and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia(SPM). As for my batch we must go through all three examinations. I think most of us know about the abolishment of PMR starting from next year (2014) onwards. So, this year is the last batch of the Form 3 students to sit for PMR...

I'm not going to write too much about all those facts about our education system since it's not among the best in the world YET. hehe. It's going to be one of the best soon. I hope so. I'll always think positive about my country and I'll never give bad names to Malaysia.

Currently, I'm very busy becoming a driver of my mother and sisters besides planning a lot of reunions with my fellow ex-schoolmates. And also, I just came back from a trip to Shenzhen and Guangzhou. Seriously, it was a fun but tiring trip!

As for my SPM result, it's not that great but I'm satisfied with my achievement and both of my parents were happy with the result. Of course, after getting the results everybody was very busy completing the forms for the public universities admission and applying for scholarships including me.

20 World's Best Airports In 2013

During the 2013 World Airport Award at Passenger Terminal EXPO in Geneva, World's Top Airports were announced by SKYTRAX. Every year I will update about this particular award by posting the top airports... Usually, I'll only post the top ten airports. But, since I have been using top 15, top 20, top 25 in most of my other posts, so I decided to share the top 20 airports.

Actually, a few years back, SKYTRAX only published the top 10 airports in their website. Since last year, SKYTRAX started to show us the top 100 ranking. So, it's easier for an amateur blogger like me to do some researches about the airports around the world and of course I can share more airports in the ranking.

Why airport is important for me? Very simple, it's a main gateway to a country. So, it must be good-looking  and comfortable enough in order to ensure that particular country will receive good first impression by the foreign travelers.

Unlike the other continents, most of the Asian nations will give their best to the main airport. I'm sure that most us have heard about Singapore Changi, Hong Kong International Airport, Incheon Airport, etc. . All of those airports are located in Asia and they are fantabulous airports.

20 Best Countries In Terms Of Railroad Infrastructure

It has been a while since my last post about Five Most Scary Bridges... Seriously, I was very busy for the past few weeks until I couldn't even spend a little of my time to update my blog...

This time, I'm going to share about the best countries with railroad infrastructure... As far as I'm concerned, train has become very important to the society... In my country, rail public transport is being developed significantly by the government... MRT, LRT extension, and ETS to name a few...

When you visit well-known cities like London, Tokyo, Paris, Singapore, Madrid, Zurich, etc.; railway system has dominates the public ground transportation... Maybe for local citizen, bus is still important.. But for tourist, train is the main transportation for them to travel around... The reason is because train is more convenient and it's easier for them to plan their trip especially when rail integration is applied...

In ASEAN; Bangkok, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur are three cities with highly developed rail integration system... But of course, Singapore is the best since it's a small island and it's easier for the town planners to plan their own ground transportation system...

Mengalir Air Mataku...

Sabah Oh Sabah...

I was born in 1995... Yes, maybe I learned something about Sabah when I was in secondary school but I know that all those facts that I had read from the textbooks are not enough to make me a person who knows every single detail about Sabah...

Indeed, the scenario is very complicated... The reason is because, Sabah was not founded yesterday... It was created a century ago... Maybe, there are some of us who know the details... But, we don't know who they are and I don't think we will believe anybody for the time being... So, for now, nobody can make crappy statements...

This matter involved a lot of parties... Malaysia, Sulu Sultanate, British, Brunei Sultanate, etc... So, I don't think voices from one or two parties can solve this particular crisis... Besides, UN was also involved with Sabah and Sarawak during the formation of The Federation Of Malaysia...

The Pinoys will say that Sabah belongs to them and we Malaysians will fight back by saying that we developed Sabah and the Sabahans chose to be part of us... But, when someone is protecting his/her country, trust me, that person won't even think about countries like Japan, Germany, and Australia that are very rich and successful... He/She will continuously assuming that his/her homeland nation is the best in the world...

Fatih Seferagic

He was born in Germany and he moved to the US when he was 4. Now, he lives in Houston, Texas, US. But, he is neither German nor American, he is actually Bosnian.

Who is he? Of course he is a famous person. If not, how would I know him and have that spirit to write about him in my blog?

Actually, he is a  Hifdh and Quran Teacher in Houston. There are lot of his videos in Youtube while reciting Quran. Indeed, his voice is amazing. He can make people shade their tears while listening to his Quran recitations.

Well, in Malaysia we don't understand Arabic that much - only the basic words. So, we appreciate the recitations via the beauty of the voice.
P/s Unlike Islamic scholars or expertise, we learn  Qur'an contents by reading the translation.

Back to the topic, most of his videos were recorded when he was the Imam during prayers. Interestingly, he is still very young because he was born in the same year as me. 1995!

His name is quite famous among Malaysian social networkers. Since he is a good looking man, of course he is quite famous among the ladies. Frankly speaking, I hate judging people by its cover. So, if there are any other qurra who recite Quran beautifully, please treat him the same even if he is not as handsome as Fatih.

Alright, let's leave physical appearance behind. I do hope every single of us can make a person like Fatih Seferagic as a role model for us to stand nearer to Islam and practice Islam as a true Muslim. Show good examples to the non-believers.

Below are some of the videos of him taken from Youtube.

Japan Is A Good Example No Matter What

If we look at the current statistics, most of it show how amazing South Korea is... Some people stated that now South Korea is much better than Japan in terms of Economy and also Technology... You can see how Samsung, Kia, and Hyundai are becoming more significant to the society compared to Sony, Sharp, Toyoto, Honda, or even Nissan...

But, all that will never stop me from labelling Japan as the most advanced country in Asia... Yes, it is undeniable that South Korea's economy is growing while Japan's economy is stalling... However, I believe that Japan will recover very soon and try to invent more products and technologies in the future...

In conclusion, I'll never take South Korea as the most advanced country in Asia... And I respect the Japanese more than the Korean because of their culture, attitude, and mentality... Yes, maybe K-pop songs and Korean Dramas are very popular among the people around the world... But I don't think that should be the indicators to label South Korea as the most advanced country in Asia... No, it's not because I hate K-pop songs and Korean Dramas... In fact, I watched a lot of Korean Dramas and listened to some ballad Korean songs (because I'm not K-pop fan)...

Pinewood Studios in Malaysia...

Pinewood Studios is major British film studios that produced a lot of well-known movies like 007, Harry Potter, and Johnny English to name a few... Like Universal Studios, Pinewood Studios also operates overseas besides the homeland nation... Until now, Pinewood Studios are operating in 3 different countries and soon it will be 5 countries... The countries are United Kingdom(of course), Canada, and Germany... In UK, there are three different studios in various locations which are Pinewood Studios, Shepperton Studios, and Teddington Studios...

As I mentioned earlier, Pinewood Studios will soon operates in 5 countries... The other two countries are Dominican Republic and Malaysia... But this time, I will focus on Pinewood Studios in Malaysia instead of Pinewood Indomina Studios(Dominican Republic)... In Canada and Germany, the studios are known as Pinewood Toronto Studios and Pinewood Studio Berlin respectively...

Update On KL-Singapore High Speed Rail

SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Dato' Seri Najib Razak and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong have announced a high-speed train project connecting Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, which is expected to be completed by 2020.

Najib said the project is a "huge game changer" that will enable travel between the two cities to be 90 minutes.

"It will change the way we do business, the way we interact between the cities.

"It will make a huge difference in the way both countries complement each other. The opportunities are boundless between our two countries," Najib told a joint press conference during the 4th Malaysia-Singapore Leaders Retreat.

He said the high speed rail link would make seemless movement for peoples of both cities.

Najib said the announcement was among the vital agreements reached at the leaders' retreat this time around.
In describing the bilateral meeting between both leaders today, Najib said the relations were moving towards a steady progress instead of a spectacular progress.

Future Rail Integration System (RIS) Of Kuala Lumpur

Prior to the on-going MRT Project and LRT Extension Project in Kuala Lumpur, many of us are curious about the future Rail Integration System or RIS in Kuala Lumpur...

Indeed, KL will become a very well-connected city after all of those projects completed. The on-going MRT Project is only for one line. Based on the initial proposal, Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit(KVMRT) consists of three lines. That means another 2 lines of KVMRT will be developed by MRT Corp. in the future.

[Updated: 12/7/2015]
Due to the addition of two more major rail projects which are MRT Line 2 (Sungai Buloh - Serdang - Putrajaya) and LRT Line 3 (Bandar Utama - Klang), I've updated the rail integration maps below. Both of the projects are currently under public inspection phase for about three months. After everything has been finalized, the construction of MRT SSP Line and LRT Line 3 will commence latest by first quarter 2016.

[Updated: 3/12/2018]
SPAD already produced a completed Greater KL/Klang Valley rail integrated map with both MRT Line 2 and LRT 3 included. Below is the updated map.

Private Colleges In Malaysia

Quantity over quality...!

Can you imagine? Based on a report from a foreign press, in Malaysia, there are 414 private colleges in various fields excluding 37 private universities, 30 private college universities, and 7 international branch campuses... I think, that's too much for a medium-population of Malaysia...

Before approving all those colleges to mushroom, government should first remember that we are not over-populated country... There are only 28million of us in Malaysia... And 3million out of 28million are immigrants... I think, that's too much if we compare to the number of private colleges in Malaysia...

Besides, there are a lot of other alternatives for us to pursue our studies... We have form 6 (STPM), matriculation college by MOE, foundation studies in public universities, etc.. So, the government should think wisely whether to give-or-not the license to the private colleges to operate their academic programmes...In every country, private college is a must in order to provide wider opportunities for the youngsters to become successful... But, with the excess of the private colleges, we are not helping the youngsters...

Orang takkan bina pepatah tu kalau solat tu tak penting...

First sekali, paksa dulu diri anda untuk bersolat sekurang-kurangnya selama 3 bulan...

Sekolah Menengah Top Di Selangor...

Perdana Menteri, Dato' Sri Najib Tun Razak pernah berkata, tiada negara lain di dunia yang mampu menandingi Malaysia dari segi kepelbagaian budaya. Tidakkah kita berasa bangga? Ayuh! Fikir-fikirkan semua.

Ingat lagi, itulah intro pidato saya semasa menyertai Pertandingan Pidato Piala Diraja last year. Buat sendiri tu! Don't play2 ha. Hakikatnya, intro tu memang takde kena mengena langsung dengan post ni. Kuang3...

Oklah. The Best Control Schools In Kuala Lumpur.

25 Countries With The Best Quality Of Management Schools

To achieve our ambition as a businessman, manager, or even CEO we must choose the right path.We must go to the high-rated colleges or universities so that we will gain the best knowledge about this field.

For me, sharing the universities that offer the best management or business courses is not enough. Since the society will be narrow-minded that they assume they can achieve their dreams by only pursuing their studies in those universities. Besides, the list of the universities will be very limited since human can't afford to list all of the universities around the world just to find the best business schools, isn't it? There are thousands of them you know?!

So, I decided to share the top countries with the best quality of management or business schools. That means, these countries consist of a lot of high-quality management or business schools and the people can assess to the those schools easily without having to fight too much for the best. In short, the people have a lot choices or schools to choose in these countries.

So, here we go! Check out where is the position of your homeland nation. Or if you want to study abroad, look for the best destination here.

5-Star Rating Schools In Terms Of ICT (Kuala Lumpur)

Based on the Smart School Qualification Standard(SSQS), currently there are 11 schools in Kuala Lumpur that achieved 5-star in the usage of ICT... 4 domains are used to measure the rating of each school...
The domains are Usage(17 indicators), Human Capital(20 indicators), Application(7 indicators), and Infrastructure(10 indicators).

Of all the 5-star rating schools nationwide, not all of them are labelled as Smart School(Sekolah Bestari/Sekolah Smart) by the Ministry of Education(MOE)... The remaining schools are known as catalyst schools instead... I'm not really sure why...

So, let me make it clear here, 5-star rating smart school doesn't mean the school is a Smart School that is recognized by MOE... Maybe, it's just to indicate the level of computer usage in the schools from all around Malaysia and to identify the schools that can become the role model to the inexperienced schools in terms of ICT usage... Since, my alma mater is one of the 5-star rating schools, I admit that every year there will be visitors from inside and outside the country to learn from the admins about the management of ICT in school...

Based on the information that I received from the internet, only 271 schools are 5-star rated in terms of ICT usage out of 8,995 schools nationwide... Actually, a statistic from MOE indicates that there are 10,066 schools in Malaysia... So, I believe that there are still some schools that are not ready to be evaluated under SSQS... Maybe because of financial conditions, weak internet connections, or the schools are still very new...

So, here we go...! 5-star rating smart schools in Kuala Lumpur... I'll highlight the schools that are recognized  or labelled as Smart School by the MOE... That means, the others are catalyst schools...

Malaysia & Indonesia

Candidate Cities For 2020 Summer Olympics...

At the very beginning, five cities applied to become the host city of 2020 Summer Olympics with Rome withdrew its bid due to financial constraint. Yeaa, we know very well that some European countries are facing with financial problem; and Italy is one of them.

So, the remaining applicant cities were Baku, Azerbaijan; Doha, Qatar; Istanbul, Turkey; Madrid, Spain; and Tokyo, Japan.

Of all the five cities that sent their bids to host the largest sporting event in the world, only three cities were selected. And that's what I'm going to share this time; the best applicant cities which have been chosen as the candidate cities by the IOC Executive Board.

Firstly, I'm going to list the applicant cities which are failed to become the candidates cities.

Salam Maulidur Rasul 1434H(2013)

New Ampang Line Train Set...

As we all know, an extension project for Ampang Line and Kelana Jaya Line is going on in Klang Valley. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2015, one year before another urban rail project in Klang Valley completes. Yes! Sungai Buloh-Kajang Mass Rapid Transit(MRT) by MRT Corp.

Ampang Line and Kelana Jaya Line or Rapid KL are under the management of Prasarana. But, MRT is not under Prasarana but under its own management instead called MRT Corp. So, nobody should be confused  with this. Same goes to KTM Komuter that is under the management of Keretapi Tanah Melayu(KTM) itself.
Update: MRT Corp will only manage the development of MRT Project. The operation of MRT in Klang Valley will be under the management of Prasarana. [4/11/2014]

KTM is the largest rail company in Malaysia since it handles the movements of all intercity routes in Penisular Malaysia including the Electric Train Service (ETS) from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh. Now, double-electrified tracks from Ipoh to Padang Besar is under construction and it's going to complete by next year. After that, ETS will continue its development from Gemas to the south of Peninsular Malaysia, Johor Bharu.

Oneworld and Malaysia Airlines...

Malaysia Airlines will be an official member of Oneworld starting from 1st February 2013 onwards... Oneworld is on of the three world's largest airline alliances... so, it's not easy to be part of this airlines alliance because the board members are very particular in choosing the new airlines to be part of the team...

currently, there are 11 full members of oneworld alliance... all of the them are the world-class airlines with strong perfomances in this industry... as i said earlier, there a lot of aspects to be evaluated before any airline companies becoming the full member of this alliance... that's the reason why this airline alliance consist of only 11 full members with 3 pending members including Malaysia Airlines... unlike the other two major airline alliances, Star Alliance and SkyTeam with 27 and 19 members respectively excluding pending members... interestingly, 3 out of 6 5-star airlines are the members of Oneworld... Cathay Pacific as a full member while Qatar Airways and Malaysia Airlines as the pending members that are going to join this team very soon...

World's Top Retirement Destinations in 2013...

again... another ranking for my blog... :)

R E T I R E M E N T... that word sounds scary right?... but, don't worry because i want to share with you the best destinations or countries for retirement in 2013... i think, that title is quite interesting because it's not the ranking of hospitals or old folks' homes. XD

some of us want to retire abroad or maybe they want to know the positions of their respective countries for this ranking...

btw, i hope it can help...

i'm very happy to announce that a promotional campaign for Visit Malaysia Year 2014 will be held at Bukit Jalil Stadium from 18 to 20 of January 2013... since Malaysia is the 9th most visited country in the world, i hope everybody will come and join the celebration... there will be a lot of fun and activities... all of the foreign tourists that are already in Malaysia you can also join us in this wonderful event...

some sites stated that this will be the biggest tourism event ever! it's such a waste to those who are already in Klang Valley to miss the event...

i sure that there will be a lot of vacation packages will be promoted during the event... and we can use this chance to plan our vacation with family and friends...

as the local citizens, i think, we must explore our beloved country first before travelling to other countries... the reason is because Malaysia is very unique with diverse cultures and internationally known as one of the best countries to be visited in the world...

next year is going to be a Visit Malaysia Year...! and i really2 hope it will be a successful campaign starting from this year...

Recognised Malaysian Universities For Law Studies...

My sister is pursuing her studies in this field of education. So, I decided to read something about being a lawyer in Malaysia. Here is the information that I got through my reading and I'm going to share it to those who are interested to pursuing Law,

To practice law in Malaysia, law graduates must become a 'qualified person'. A 'qualified person' may be admitted as an advocate and solicitor if he/she fulfils the requirements as set out in section 11 of Act 166.

Under Act 166, a person must have one of the qualifications as i'm going to show below in order to be a 'qualified person'. There are some universities outside the country that are recognised by The Legal Profession Qualifying Board(LPQB), Malaysia. But this time, I'll only share the local universities.

If your university is not listed, that means you must sit and pass the Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) Examination by Qualifying Board in order to become a 'qualified person'. Qualifying Board is LPQB itself.

Institut Teknologi MARA[Advanced Diploma in Law]

Interesting Indian Movies...

Recently, I watched a very interesting and motivational Indian movie. Actually, the movie was more to romantic comedy however there were a lot moral values that i learned from this particular movie. Since the story line involved the school, students, and friendship; so it's good for us to learn from the movie. It's relate to our daily life. And of course it is a Hindi film and we can say it as Bollywood. If the language is Tamil that means Kollywood. I don't know, I think so. But i have never watch Tamil movie before. Okay back to the topic, the title of the movie is Student Of The Year...!

The movie was directed by Karan Johar, the famous director in India and one of the best in the world. Well, many of us had watched "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" and "My Name Is Khan" right? Yesss. The movies were directed by him. Since he is the head of production company called Dharma Productions, means he is also a good producer. Isn't it? Dharma Productions is also a well-known production company in India. All of the movies produced by this production house are box-office movies. I can say, most their movies are high quality.
